25 Jun 2009 - LIMS 2009 video now online!
Time to show you how things went down at the 2nd edition of the annual London International Music Show! Demonstrating Toontrack's The Metal Foundry software truly was a blast... And that's not in the least because I was fortunate enough to perform alongside the amazing David "Fingers" Haynes (Prince, Chaka Kahn, Mary J. Blige) for some kick-ass trade-off solos! Check out my new video to see how we blasted and grooved London to the ground!
I'd like to thank David Haynes for being such an awe-inspiring player; everyone at Toontrack, Time+Space, Tama and Pintech for being some of the most charming and professional people I've ever met; my wonderful wife Hannah for her endless support; and last but not least, all of you who came and enjoyed the demos!

01 Jun 2009 - The Metal Foundry release + live demos in London!
Yes yes y'all, here we go for some more drumming news... Last April, I was fortunate enough to pay a visit to Brooklyn, New York for a recording engineered by world-renowned drummer Nir Z (Chris Cornell, John Mayer, Genesis). And on July 1st, 2009, the result of that session will be released as a custom MIDI set for The Metal Foundry SDX, an expansion pack for Toontrack's amazing Superior Drummer 2.0 drum sampling software! Read all about the Metal Foundry in my discography section!
Furthermore, I'll be performing live at the official presentation of The Metal Foundry, which will take place at the London International Music Show from June 11th to 14th, 2009. So if you happen to be in the British capital this month, make sure to stop by for some fancy licks 'n flying sticks!

27 Apr 2009 - DVD in the works!
What's up people? I'm enjoying some down time after that amazing 8 week long North American SOILWORK tour. But "downtime" doesn't mean I ain't poundin' them drums! Here's what's in the works on the Dirk front...
First and foremost, things are finally coming together regarding my long-delayed drumming DVD! Without revealing too much, I can promise you this will not be your typical, run-of-the-mill instructional DVD. To put it simply, the contents of this beast WILL please anyone into SCARVE and SOILWORK, as well as some of my other bands. The plan is to start shooting this Summer... Stay tuned for more details!
Speaking of SCARVE, things are moving ahead on that front as well! Sylvain, Patrick, Loic and myself have just recently started working on some new awesome tunes, and even though it's still way early to announce anything concrete, my gut tells me we may be ready to record the follow-up to "The Undercurrent" by the end of the year. Pretty damn exciting, isn't it? Oh, and we're also working on getting that good ole' website back online!
I still have to wait a little to reveal some more great news... Just keep checking back. And make sure to come and party with SOILWORK at Sweden Rock and Finland's own Sauna Festival this June! Skol!
