05 Dec 2011 - LOTE III & OTHER DIRKKHAOS

It's here folks! Sweden's supreme software sires Toontrack are proud to present Dirk Verbeuren's Library Of The Extreme volume 3: Fills Insanity! For this brand new MIDI pack, I recorded no less than 1,000 different drum fills, making it a perfect complement to the almost 2,200 crazy beats of volumes 1 and 2. This is a must-have for all Superior Drummer and EZDrummer users! Find out more here and gaze in awe the cover pic by my wife Hannah Verbeuren.

Now for the latest here at Die Crawling HQ: currently I'm in the middle of tracking drums for Portugal's true death metallers
Malevolence
whose third album promises to be a true, raw and uncompromising masterpiece. The long-awaited new Powermad album is also coming along great- every new song is yet another thrash milestone...And I'm not even slightly exaggerating!

Speaking of which, I'm currently available for session work. All details can be found
here.

It's been a little while, but I can't go without mentioning
Sick Drummer Magazine
's awe-inspiring Sick Drummer Camp, the ultimate extreme drummer's wet dream! Mindblowing performances, legendary jam sessions and an unparallelled enthusiasm from instructors and students alike... For a first edition, SD Camp was nothing short of perfect. Glimpse at the carnage here and keep your eyes peeled for the DVD.

Last but not least,
Bent Sea is my grindcore band with Sven De Caluwe of Aborted on vocals and Devin Townsend on bass! Here's what Adrien Begrand at MSN.com wrote about our debut EP Noistalgia: "It’s a mighty fine 12 track, 20-plus minute little record, one that’s so good that we can only hope it won’t be a one-time thing". Don't wait any longer, get Noistalgia now at the Bent Sea music store for only USD 5.50 or 4 euros. You won't regret it!

12 Nov 2011 - BENT SEA DECONSTRUCTION

Yeeeeaaah boys and girls, finally my grindcore band Bent Sea has released Noistalgia, an intense rager of an 11 song EP featuring yours truly on drums and guitar, Sven De Caluwe of Aborted on vocals and Devin Townsend on bass. Devin also produced the EP in a mighty fine manner. You can only buy this directly from the band and it costs a mere $5.50 folks! If you get your copy before November 19th, you'll receive a crushing Extreme Noise Terror cover absolutely free. Don't miss this monster- head over to the Bent Sea music store now! Also check out an exclusive interview (in French) and a streaming track at Violent Solutions webzine.

Just had an incredible night playing Deconstruction live in London with the Devin Townsend Project... It was beyond words! Here's a heartfelt thank you to all the enthusiastic fans who showed up, Devin, Dave, Mike, our exclusive 4-piece choir (April, Caroline, Josh and Luke) and the entire DTP crew of musicians, technicians and management for this absolutely mindblowing experience. I'm so honored to be a part of this. Can't wait for the DVD!

I'll be back with tons more news very soon. Stay tuned...
